KiwiKayaks has a long history in New Zealand, going back to the mid sixties. We pride ourselves on personnel service and customer satisfaction.

Kiwikayaks is the culmination of a family team that has worked closely with Galasport, s.r.o, one of the most successful and progressive companies in the world of kayak design and manufacture. Kiwikayaks has emerged through good old-fashioned kiwi ingenuity, experience and professional association with industry leaders.

Dave Austin

Co-founder Dave Austin has been a slalom paddler since the age of 16 and went on to compete at a top

national level. Dave has had a connection with the sport of canoeing throughout his

life this is reflected in the time he has invested and continually invests in to developing New Zealand canoeing.

Kevin Austin

Co-founder Kevin Austin has also competed in slalom since being an ankle biter, and progressed to represent New Zealand twice at the junior World Championships.

Since then Kevin has represented the senior team many times and has spent considerable time training in the Czech Republic whilst developing Kiwikayaks with Dave
